Respite Care is the accommodation of short-term relief to those who are caring for family members who might otherwise require placement in a retirement or long term care facility.Respite programs provide planned short-term and time-limited breaks for family caregivers, Respite also provides a positive experience for those who are receiving care. Respite has been shown to help sustain family caregiver health and well being, avoid or delay out-of-home placements.
